I Dream EyeSOUNDplay is an annual series produced by New Adventures in Sound Art that showcases larger scale works or themes that include more than one media from the many genres of electroacoustic and experimental sound art practice.

SOUNDplay 2004 will have a particular focus on video with performances of live improvised music and video projection by See Hear Now (a collaboration between David and Gisela Gamper) from New York, a media installation by Matt Rogalsky and a newly commissioned interactive installation by Christian Calon, Chantal Dumas and Don Sinclair. In addition, there will be two newly commissioned works by Jean Piché and Raylene Campbell presented in a Canadian program of video and electroacoustic works by Matt Rogalsky, Jean Piché, Marcelle Deschênes, Alain Pelletier and the new media team of Kristi Allik and Robert Mulder.


Soundplay Performances
Friday November 5th

Matinee Performance
1 pm @ the Latvian House
Pay What You Can/ Students w ID FREE

Led by host Victoria Fenner, the afternoon will consist of 10-15 segments of works Machine Symphonywith artist commentary by artists Jean Piché, Raylene Cambell, David and Gisela Gamper. A tour of the installations with artists Matt Rogalsky, Don Sinclair, Chantal Dumas and Christian Calon will follow at 2:30pm and the afternoon of activities will end with a SOUNDwalk led by Victoria Fenner and co-sponsored by the Canadian Association for Sound Ecology.

A multi-media presentation of live performances, video screenings, and mixed media works including works by Marcelle Deschênes, Kristi Allik, Robert Mulder, Raylene Campbell, Matt Rogalsky and a new commission by Jean Piché. Late night solo of video works by Jean Piché.
