1) NAISA February Workshop February 20th

All workshops are @ the NAISA space, 601 Christie St #252

February 20th 10am-5pm, $100

SOUND AS ART 1 Recording & Editing workshop by Darren Copeland

Geared towards the budding sound artist, the visual and media artist exploring sound, the community radio programmer wanting to expand their possibilities, and those with a general interest in sound, this workshop will teach basic recording, editing, processing and mixing practices.

2) NAISA Toronto Artist Salon with featured artists Emilie LeBel (February 27)
and Micheline Roi (March 6)

PWYC (and we mean this literally!)


Join us for an afternoon at the NAISA space with featured artist Emilie LeBel in February and Micheline Roi in March who will be presenting and discussing their recent works.  Also bring a CD of your own works too and we'll play a sample or try out NAISA's spatialization system. There'll be time for coffee and snacks to listen to other people's works and network.  Hope to see you there!

3) Deep Wireless Festival of Radio & Transmission Art
May 1 - 31, 2010


A month-long celebration of radio and transmission art including performances, installations, broadcasts, workshops and the Radio Without Boundaries conference (May 27-29). Deep Wireless artists include Emmanuel Madan, Anna Friz, EC Woodley, Rebecca Singh, Erik Laar, Gregory Whitehead, Shannon Cochrane, Charles Stankievich, Gštz Naleppa and Frank Kaspar.  Performances are scheduled for May 1, 8, 27, 28 and 29 and interactive installations as well as NAISA Radio (a community radio station at the Artscape Wychwood Barns) will be running throughout the month of May. 4) Sound Travels Festival of Sound Art
June 1 - October 1, 2010


Sound Travels brings sound art to the outdoors on Toronto Island and once again to the Artscape Wychwood Barns. This 12th edition of the annual festival will feature indoor and outdoor interative installations, performances, workshop intensive and the Toronto Electroacoustic Symposium. Check future NAISA Sound Channels or the web-site for updates.
