NAISAtron soldering party
The NAISAtron, created for NAISA by Rob Cruickshank, is a small sound sculpture, an electronic gizmo. This workshop is an opportunity to make your own NAISAtron to take home with you. If you haven't soldered, we'll help you with that as well.

(and we mean this literally!)
SOIRÉE - an evening gathering, typically in a private house, for conversation or music. Although it's in the afternoon, the intent is the same: a time for artists to talk about their works, listen to other people's works and network. Featured artist Carey Dodge will be presenting and discussing his recent works. Bring a CD of your own works too and we'll play a sample.
NAISA will be participating in Theatre Direct's dynamic 2009 annual school residency Round Trip Home. Classes from five local schools will be engaged in a nine week set of workshops, exploring the theme of home through drama, storytelling, dance, puppetry, music, and sound. We gratefully acknowledge the Ontario Trillium Foundation, an agency of the Government of Ontario, the Laidlaw Foundation, the Ontario Arts Council and the SOCAN foundation for their financial support of the NAISA youth initiative. Upcoming collaborations include participation with the Royal Conservatory Community Outreach's Unsigned Hype programme in May.
The NAISA youth initiative is targeted toward youth at high schools, arts centers and community centers. If you are a teacher or run a community centre and are interested in being a part of this youth initiative, email naisa@naisa.ca. If you are 20-25 and interested in working with youth, please contact naisa@naisa.ca
